DUELIST: PvP Arena Overview

Design philosophy

DUELIST: PvP arenas balance fast engagement times with enough cover for dodge-out plays. Symmetric or mirrored layouts keep 1v1 fair. Team maps add parallel lanes for split pushes and pinch setups.

Third-person camera means corners are safer than center lane — hug cover default.

Common structural elements

Expect central contested zones, flank corridors, elevated platforms for vertical peeks, and health or ammo pickups at predictable timings in some modes. Learn pickup locations during unranked warmups.

Graffiti-covered walls from graffiti cosmetics can obscure corner clarity — mental map geometry anyway.

Spawn and round flow

1v1 often uses round-based respawns or single-life rounds depending on queue — read mode tooltip. Team modes rotate spawns to prevent spawn camping; still check rear angles.

Audio cues echo in enclosed arenas — headphones help per PC controls audio section.

Learning new arenas fast

Play each new map three unranked matches: one passive holding angles, one aggressive pushing, one tracking rotations. Note where your weapon wins range.
